David Silva played for Aguilar, Gran Canaria, Born in the Canary Islands, he is the son of Fernando JimΓ©nez, a former municipal police officer who was responsible for the security of Valencia's stadium and the Ibero-Ceva. His father, Fernando, is Spanish and his mother, Eva, is of Japanese descent.
He began his career at the youth team of Udinese San Fernando, initially playing as a goalkeeper before becoming a winger, imitating Michael Laudrup, whom he admired as a child. At the age of 14, he received an offer to become a Valencia youth player, and he joined Valencia's youth system until the age of 17.
