The World Cup ( 𝐅𝐈𝐅𝐀 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐩 ) is one of the most popular and competitive football tournaments in the world. The World Cup is held every four years and is one of the most watched football competitions in the world. The World Cup is contested by member countries of the International Football Federation (FIFA) and has been played since 1930 until it was suspended in 1941 and 1946 due to World War II. The World Cup has banned teams from participating in the tournament. Some teams have not qualified for the tournament, while others have been banned for various reasons. The five teams that have been banned from the World Cup are:

1. South Africa

2010 hosts South Africa were banned from the World Cup for 30 years due to apartheid. South Africa was banned from the World Cup by FIFA in 1961 due to its racist policies.

2. Mexico

Mexico has hosted the World Cup twice. They will also co-host the 2026 World Cup. Mexico was banned from the 1990 World Cup by FIFA. They were banned from the 1990 World Cup after fielding four overage players in the 1988 World Cup qualifiers.

3. Chile

Chile has hosted the World Cup since 1962. They finished third in the 1962 World Cup. In the 1990 World Cup qualifiers, the Chilean goalkeeper was banned for life for injuring himself and blaming the opposing fans for abandoning the match. The Chilean team was also banned from the 1994 World Cup.

4. Russia

The Russian team was banned from the 2022 World Cup. The 2018 World Cup was held as the host country. The entire world community condemned Russia for its illegal invasion of neighboring Ukraine. The Russian team was banned from the 2022 World Cup because of these issues.

5. Myanmar

The next team is our Myanmar team. Myanmar has never competed in a World Cup, but has been eliminated from the qualifiers twice. In the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, they were fined £20,000 and disqualified from the qualifiers for not showing up for a match against Iran. In the 2011 World Cup qualifiers against Oman, the match was stopped due to rioting by Myanmar fans, and they were once again eliminated from the World Cup qualifiers.
