Shevchenko, the greatest striker in Ukrainian history

A versatile striker, Shevchenko is a natural and versatile player who usually plays as a central striker. He is also capable of playing anywhere along the front line, often playing as a left winger. He is a strong and physical striker, known for his excellent movement with the ball, his finishing ability in the box, his composure in front of goal, and his accuracy from penalty kicks. He is also a powerful and accurate shot-maker with both feet, both inside and outside the box. He is primarily a goalscorer, but he is also a player who can create chances and assists through his links with teammates.

Shevchenko is a legendary striker who has played for Dynamo Kyiv, AC Milan, Chelsea and the Ukraine national team, and in recent years has been the head coach of the Ukraine national team and Serie A club Genoa. He is considered one of the greatest strikers of all time and is considered the greatest player in Ukrainian history.

Shevchenko began his career at Dynamo Kyiv, winning five consecutive league titles before joining AC Milan. At Milan, he established himself as one of the top strikers in Europe, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2003, and he has won trophies in Ukraine, Italy and England. He was named one of FIFA's 125 best players in 2004, and won the FIFA Ballon d'Or that year. He was also named one of the 11 best players in the world in 2005.

He is the seventh-highest scorer in all UEFA club competitions with 67 goals, and is the second-highest goalscorer in the club's history with 175 goals. He is also the top scorer in the Milan derby (between Milan and city rivals Inter Milan) with 14 goals.

He is the top scorer for the Ukraine national team with 48 goals, and captained the team to its first ever FIFA World Cup quarter-final in 2016. He also played for the team at Euro 2012, which Ukraine hosted.

He left the sport in 2012 to enter politics, and ran in the Ukrainian parliamentary elections on 20 October 2012. However, his party was defeated in the election. He then returned to football in 2016, serving as assistant coach of the Ukraine national team for six months, before being appointed head coach of Ukraine in July, leading the team to the quarter-finals of UEFA Euro 2016. In 2017, he became vice-president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, but resigned from the committee in January after a disagreement. In January 2014, he was elected president of the Ukrainian national football team.

As a child, he was a competitive boxer in the Ukrainian Junior League, but later switched to bowling.
